The Ring Pull employs a digital load-cell attached to a patented adjustable fixture designed to isolate and pull the ring through the cylinder prior to piston-ring assembly, allowing a precise measure of ring drag against the machined cylinder surface.

This critical ring-to-bore surface friction data will help you optimize your build:

  • Facilitate engine cylinder ring preparation prior to assembly, which aids in evaluating cylinder bore surface finishes (Ra, Rz, Rk, Rpk, Rvk taper)
     

  • Compare cylinder quality in the machining preparation stage
